GET FRED BLUE
Fred Blue
Professional Football Player

Born and raised in Gary Indiana, Fred's mother and father made sure he understood the value of hard work and the value of family and friendship.

Fred has always been attracted to the physicality of the game and found himself spending more and more time working out, getting bigger, stronger and faster for football. The next thing he knew, he was a full-fledged football player.

Fred finished up his degree and NCAA playing career playing at North Central. After North Central, Fred was awarded the opportunity to try out for the San Diego Chargers. Playing for the San Diego Chargers was an amazing experience in itself and relit a fuse in him and reminded him of why he loves this game as much as he does. Knowing that each man has one job, and relying on that one person to do their job to make a whole unit complete is one of Fred's favorite things and why he loves the game.

Coming from a strong family, through high school, college, and present Fred has always had a strong support group. My family has been a driving force in my life and my career is helping me pursue my dreams and there's nothing that I won't do or give up to accomplish my goals. One day I want to be able to take care of my family the way they have taken care of me for so long.

Watch out NFL as you are in Fred's future plans!

05/28/12 From the Archives :: Oak Street Revival Fresh from the summer of 2011, we revisit Jeff Zimmermann as he paints his wonderful mural titled "You Know What You Should Do". Located on Chicago's Oak Street Beach, "You Know What You Should Do" reminds us of our duty to keep the beach (and the Earth) clean so that we can fully enjoy it's beauty.
