Coming in hot with the poignant grooves, we see the return of LEGIT with his latest MAUDLIN and wow the music on this one is amazing. Somebody has been putting the time, effort, and their whole ass ankles into it and MAUDLIN shows it all over the place. With production from Legit himself along with stars such as Dee Lilly, Sani, Saba, TyYouGenius, Silent Party Music, and Kevin Ford— this whole project is a concise, precise, dream inducing, specific kaleidoscope that keeps on giving us a gift that I’m not sure we deserve. LEGIT. MAUDLIN. FUCK WITH IT. Here’s some words from the man himself on the project: It’s been a long time. I shouldn’t have left you, left you. Bad joke. How naive of me to expect you to wait this long. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but neither are paper planes. Plus, I like paper planes and Rome fell kinda hard… Still, I’d be lying if I said I wish I spent less time on this. I wish I spent more time. Originally I made this really weird intro but I ended up scrapping it bc it was probably too far left of a starting point. Would have loved to make that work. Continue Reading
When Mick speaks we listen. His great asset, a voice destined to be coupled with proper drums, along with lyrical skills and a eye for style, the mans makes some good ass music. His latest, exuding MOODs for days on end, and apparently the first in a string of releases, it seems as though Mick’s gearing up to put his foot on our collective necks and keep it there. or more; the anxious is sonically consistent, even with different production styles brought to the table from THEMEpeople, greenSLLIME, ENG creation, Origami Beats, and Ahwlee — giving Mick the perfect platform to pontificate / air grievances / groove out / — it’s a wide array of bars. He’s also not the only delivering vocals here — Michael Anthony pops up for the feel good “Gucci Bag” and Saba should catch a charge for some smooth criminal stuff on “Energies”. Curated as only Mick could, or more; the anxious delivers the goods. Enjoy!
With Phoelix being big time surgeon behind some of Chicago’s illest productions, you already knew it was going to be a problem when buddy unleashed what he was stashing up for himself. From his IG it seems like Phoelix is steady cooking, and from the sounds of his latest, “Pluton”, it sounds like this man has some amazing concoctions for us. As always, keep watch for more from Phoelix.
https://soundcloud.com/the64thwonder/buddah-pom-slump-prod-tone-beats Produced by Tone Beats, Säge lets loose a perfect combo move with “Buddah Pom Slump”. With enough Swagu you could cook up a wagyu beef, Säge The 64th Wonder lets loose his signature style that in our eyes is unfuckwitable. Gonna be a large 2018 for The Wonder, keep it locked.
MFN MELO’s Melodramatics is already classic material in our humble opinion, so when Melo approached fellow 119’er Jude Appleby saying he wanted a video with classic appeal, no doubt it was already a match made in heaven. “Whatcha Feel”‘s smooth grooves provided by Saba and Phoelix provide the perfect canvas for MFN to spit game upon and we hope we captured big homie’s essence as best as possible. Featuring cameo’s from the PIVOT fam, “Whatcha Feel” shows off these guys dope musicality with effects that would make Don Cornelius proud. Light something up and watch this one with your feed up, you deserve it.

Check it out, and be on the look for more from both Samiibeatz and James Cam’ron respectively.

Defcee releases essentially a 5 track ep in a 5minute track and its fucking awesome. Knowsthetime laces the lyricist with a variety show for Def to showcase the flexation. Really an amazing feat that not many could pull off, and it’s done to excellence here. Salute.
