MFN MELO’s Melodramatics is already classic material in our humble opinion, so when Melo approached fellow 119’er Jude Appleby saying he wanted a video with classic appeal, no doubt it was already a match made in heaven. “Whatcha Feel”‘s smooth grooves provided by Saba and Phoelix provide the perfect canvas for MFN to spit game upon and we hope we captured big homie’s essence as best as possible. Featuring cameo’s from the PIVOT fam, “Whatcha Feel” shows off these guys dope musicality with effects that would make Don Cornelius proud. Light something up and watch this one with your feed up, you deserve it.
Big new tings out of BK as Chelsea Reject drops a new video for her latest track “Out Alive” directed by Sen Floyd. This is just the latest from Chelsea as she gears up for her big new tape This Is Not My Final Form, and we can only expect more to come in the coming months. Chelsea has been busy as hell lately, wrapping up a tour in Japan and just embarking on a tour in Europe. Consider this a warning to be on the look out for more from Chelsea.
It’s undeniable, (fight us if you think otherwise), that not only is Blkswn one of the best releases of 2017, but its pretty much a certified debut classic. So it’s only right that Smi is pushing out classic visuals and who better to execute that vision than Jean Deaux. Jean’s been hard at work on her next project, but additionally her penchant for having a keen eye behind the camera has all been leading up to her showing and proving whats she’s got in the directors chair, and it’s excellent to see her flex “Anita” to the utmost. If for some reason you’ve been under a rock, go listen to Blkswn, and then learn more about Smi by watching him on Broke Ass Show, ya heard?
Just when you thought you couldn’t be more blown away by Ravyn Lenae’s work, she hits you with a visual. We’re still in the midst of reeling and unraveling Midnight Moonlight, and while this visual for “Alive”, for a separate project no less, has been out for a couple weeks, we’ll take any excuse to give y’all more Ravyn. Loving the aesthetic that she brings to the table, the haunted / elegant vibes of this video make for some amazing art when paired with her vocals. Reckon with this one y’all.
greenSLLIME has been going hard this year with these extensive interviews via his “BROKE ASS LOW BUDGET SHOW”, (full disclosure, we at 119 produce and edit the shows as well). The 5th and latest episode of the Broke Ass Low Budget Show features Smino fresh off releasing his debut masterpiece BLKSWN. Be sure and keep up on all things Sllime at SllimeWorld and you can check any of the previous Broke Ass Low Budget Shows below!
After an explosive 2016, Femdot is def one of our candidates for a huge 2017. Today he drops his new visual for the low key “Soul”, but don’t let that descriptor fool you as this one is def impactful. Be on the look out for more from dude this year, because the wave has surely just begun.
In the time when we were putting together our big Countdown 2 Midnight tape, one of the illest discoveries we made was a project called Writeous from a BK emcee we knew little about, but the music spoke for itself, this was some gully fuckin’ shit made with precision. Since that time we’ve met the man himself, Radamiz, and we’re happy to call dude a homie, we’ve linked on shows and dude kills stages. So today we’re happy to give y’all a glimpse of dude’s latest offering, a video for a track with History called “poweR”. This visual is fucking insane and folks out there making videos, including 119, need to take notice. With cameo’s from fellow BK folks Chelsea Reject and I.O.D., along with I’m sure many others, the bars are as slick as this lil’ movie they cooked up. “poweR” is powerful. Be sure to check for more from Radamiz.
We’re sorry if this post is brief, but do music and vibes get any better than this? no, they don’t. Featuring Nnamdi, Morimoto, Rich Jones, JD aka Thrashkitten and directed by Jake Karlson AKA Wizzy this one is wild and deserves to be played again and again in audio and video form. and that’s all we’d like to say about that.
Nefelibata Tribe out the midwest flexes with many members, Breevie the L.A.M.E. showcases a new side to the crew with this vid for “Bilderberg II” where he goes in crazy on the bars. The dark visual is the perfect accompaniment to the atmosphere Breevie provides, described as “that midnight gutter rap, the kind of song that might make your grandmother concerned.” So yeah, if that doesn’t peak your interest, we don’t know how to help you. Breevie is amping things up in anticipation of his newest release The Modern Day Hippy II, which should be coming soon. Keep it locked!
Joseph Chilliams emerges in his first solo video for his track that has gotten dozens of his live shows lit as fuck, “Buck” featuring fellow PIVOT GANG member MFN MELO. These two go crazy, bringing y’all the cold in the summer, caroling while letting you know that you scared. Directed by 119’s own Jude Appleby and Joseph Chilliams himself, this visual goes as hard as the track does. Embrace the abstract, fuck with Joseph Chilliams.
